New traction in Switzerland/Italy

Press reports indicate that as many as 8 type E.484.0xx SR locomotives will be in a pool to work Cisalpino EC trains betweeen Switzerland and Italy.

Trains EC132 1025 Milano C to Bern (continues with RE460 to Basel) and
EC135 1627 (Basel) - Bern to Milano C are already worked as such.

I have been hauled by E.484.014 SR in SBB cargo livery on EC132 on the 16th October and has been seen with E.484.017 SR on a frequent basis.

The locos in the pool will recieve new livery (by using vinyls) covering the existing SBB cargo livery.

Other services which are expected to be converted to E.484 haulage will be the EC cisalpino trains between Geneva and Milano and possibly some of the EC cisalpino trains on Zurich to Milano.

These workings are subject to final agreements between SBB and FS and is expected to run for a 2 year period.

Actually only E.484.017 has the new livery. When it's unavailable, Cisalpino still uses another E.484 with SRC colors. Probably in short time some other locos will be ready.
