Deutsche Bahn Class 218
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me by telling me what passenger trains in the Cologne and Dusseldorf area are still hauled by Class 218s. I took a rael shine to them when I visited the country last year and would love to be hauled by one or more of the type. Any help would be very apprieciated as I am going again this year to Germany for Christmas and will be staying in Cologne.

I hope someone can help with your enquiry. However, the situation could well change by next Christmas as DBAG take delivery of more and more multiple units.

I caught a loco-hauled train a few years ago between Cologne Bonn Airport and Cologne Hbf soon after Cologne Bonn Airport station was opened. Although I'm not sure what class engine it was and obviously loco-hauled trains may not still be running on that route.
