Could anyone tell me what type of trains are used on Northern Rail Services to Bishhop Aukland, Ie 142-144-150-153-155-156-323-333.
As iam considering a visit to the weardale railway in april and just wondered what type of unit they used on this line. |

Saltburn to Darlington and Bishop Auckland is listed on Wikipedia as one place where 142s are used. I think 323s are used used on electrified routes out of Man Piccadilly and 333s are only used on electrified routes out of Leeds. There are also 158s being used in the North East.

Arnt all the 142's now at Newton Heath ? either way 142 or 158 better than 156 also have you seen the cost of the fare up there from Liverpool and Manchester.
There is an Open Day on the 12th & 13th of April at the Weardale Railway iam thinking of going. |
