I have always said this hobby will never fade, because young people will find it as intriguing as us wrinklies.

As a (relatively) young'un myself, I can assure you that there is no shortage of younger rail enthusiasts who are gonna grow old and then bore our kids to death about the "good old days of InterCity 125's" and the suchlike.

That has made a mildly old man very happy, and that takes a lot of doing nowdays.
