Why was it strange to hear sirens at that time of the morning? ANYTIME a siren is heard, it is never at a set time, or day for crying out loud.

Calm down Bramleyman......you're shouting again
I don't think Mr.Beecham's comments had anything to do with the time of day. He just thought it a bit strange that emergency vehicles with sirens were arriving at the railway station.
