Just 24 hours after it was launched, an early bird train service is cancelled by engineering works.

I spent 40 years in engineering. These sort of things are totally unforseen.
If there is a problem it is that NO launch date for these services should be announced, and I know that is not practical.
We just have to accept that these problems have always plagued construction and engineering in general, but that answer does'nt grab headlines or even buy votes.
