Station Plans
I am a newbie here - I'll introduce myself in that part of the forum. I have a specific need. I'm wanting station layout plans for any large UK railway station, but in particular St.Pancras or (when it was International) Waterloo. Prefereably online, but if there are books or magazines that do studies of specific stations, I'd be grateful to hear about them. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi Tony3ts, Welcome to the forum, I am sure you will get all the help you want.
In the mean time, try Google Earth, you can zoom into any station so close that you can recognise locos! Overall roofs do cause you a problem though! |

Hi Tony,
You should be able to find the plans you need at the serch engine in the NRM at York. To make a visit worth while get in contact before you go and they should have it ready for you. The plans are on micro film but I think you can get copies if you want, although they wont be cheap! Best wishes, John H-T. |

On a slightly different angle, my current model, called 'Backwater Road' is of a Western region bias, but my point is I've taken lots of ideas and done my own thing...each to their own I know, but it works for me!

When you say "station layout plans" do you mean details of buildings, access roads etc, etc or just the track layout itself? If the latter then I can recommend the excellent Quail Track Diagrams: http://www.trackmaps.co.uk/book5.htm
