Taken from Milton Keynes Citizen

A 16-year-old west London boy who died after being electrocuted on a railway line in front of his friends in the early hours of New Year's Day has been named.

Emergency services responded to reports of Sam Griffiths having slipped and fallen on to the live rail carrying 750 volts at Burgess Hill station, West Sussex, at about 1.30am.

The teenager was recovered from the track by emergency teams and he was pronounced dead at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
