Last day for Metro Lausanne Ouchy

It has been announced that 22nd January 2006 will be the last day of the Metro Lausanne Ouchy in its present form of a standard gauge rack railway which has been operating since replacing a funicular in 1963.
There are actually two lines the shorter going north to Place Flon, the new railway will emerge as part of the new and expanded Laussane metro.
The 5 Railsets are now up for sale www.t-l.ch/entreprise-/vechele
