High Speed 2,3,4,5 & 6 Companies formed

Not sure what the significance of this is, but clearly the government seem to be looking well beyond a New TGV style high speed line to Birmingham and Manchester via Heathrow. Sorry its mixed in with some info about selling some of the airports.

I suppose by setting up these companies the Government hopes to convince us that they are also serious about public land transport. In my mind, building the actual railway lines is the impressive bit.

Well I supose it is one step along the way. However unless we get on with it soon, we are going to be left far behind by the rest of Europe, They are busy planning and building a coprehensive High Soeed Railway System!
