125 Yrs Elec.tram

It was 16 May 1881 when electric trams by Siemens appeared and started service in the streets of Berlin, Germany.
The electrified track was only 1 1/2 mile, located in the Lichterfelde suburb.
I wish electric traction can take over more public transport at all levels.
The combustion engine lobby has had its say for too long.

I think the trams in Nottingham are great.

I am fortunate to live west of Nottingham and less than half an hour from the Tram park and ride. Makes visiting Nottingham City Centre much easier and even pleasant!

I was a student in Nottingham back in the mid '70's. The bus journey from Clifton into Nottingham City Centre was horrendous. I wish they'd have had the trams back then. I'd have moved in order to be nearer a tram service.

The Nottingham tram goes right through the student area and then to the University. How about that?!

That would've been handy. And a lot safer than travelling back to Clifton via the Meadows!

As Curiosity is aroused about Nottingham, it must be properly fed.

Wow! Market Square! We used to call it Slab Square.

I remember the 'Bell' and Yates's Wine Lodge (just )

I haven't been to Nottingham for years, I'll have to pay a visit one day soon.
