Hello!
Steam locomotive and railway enthusiast since being a schoolboy 'spotter'.
Lived close to the West Coast Main Line so the LMS was my first love followed by the Southern. Was around to see nationalisation and the subsequent locomotive exchanges with MN's and A4's hauling the 'Royal Scot' and the introduction of diesels in the form of 10000 and 10001. Forgot to mention that some of my photographs of those days are available at Steamindex http://www.steamindex.com/photofiles/richardboxcam.htm Last edited by 45685Barfleur; 12th March 2009 at 15:31. Many thanks everyone for your kindly welcome.
'Barfleur' is featured in the New Street photographs on Steamindex. I believe it was a Midland Division loco most likely shedded at Derby. Aplogise for blurred picture. Only using a Box Brownie camera. Regards. |
