Fantastic Day out today, 4th June.

Well organised and run, Fantastic Atmosphere. Plenty to see and do.

High spots:

Double headed 9F's.
Auto Train: the coach is beautifully restored. Today it was paired with the small praire 5542.
Double headed Castle and Hall.
Opportunity to cab City of Truro.
Resturant Buffet Car very comfortable with movable chairs and tea served in real cups plus home made cakes.
Good brass band.
Narrow guage trains running.

Great.

Will now post some photos.

yes I agree it was a great event.I attended on saturday and spent the day on the lineside between Toddington and WInchcombe.the 14xx was running with the autocoach, it made a great sight. All those GWR Locos celebrated the event in great style.
Well done to the GWSR I hope you were rewarded with record takings.

I also visited the event but on the day I went (27th May) it rained for most of the day so couldnt film much due to the weather and Turo had broken down and I couldnt even get onto Turos cab , and the best pic I got of Turo was of her backside (i.e. her tender). But apart from that double headed 9Fs (I had never been behind this class either) and Hall & Castle double header it was pretty good. Also as I went on the train I had to leave Cheltenham Race Course station at 18:00ish to get the last bus to the station and it had just started to fine up and the evening sunshine was beautiful .

Some stills I took on the day:
