It's very much a personal choice and to an extent dependent on where you want to base your model - of course if it's entirely fictional there are no limiting factors. The 4mt 75xxx is an excellent model, and completely up to date. The black 5 is a little bit older but still a very good model and runs well. Don't be tempted to buy earlier versions, they were not to scale and tender drive was never really successful. Like Syd, I'd probably have both but if I'd to choose one I'd have the black 5 and get it professionally weathered to an early 60's level not to the awful run down condition seen in 65 - 67. On second thoughts I'd have 2 black 5's for double heading and not bother with the 4mt. Mike
