looking for a complete list of UK stations

Hi all,
my dad used to say; "if you a quick answer, ask an official, if you want the full story, ask an enthusiast" - so I am here cap in hand to ask for your help.

I am a web developer for a small company in London, we are working on a neighborhood research site where people can try to figure out where they might want to move house to. A big part of this decision is obviously transportation links, so I am trying to locate a list of all in use passenger stations in the UK. I know there is a fairly thorough list on wikipedia, but just wondered if anyone knew of a single list with:
* station name
* address
* lines served
* facilities

Any help would be greatly appreciated - I have the London TfL list of tube stations which is fantastic, but nothing more national.

Thanks for your time,
ben.

I have a book it was published in 1956 by the british transport commision it has every station on it. With station accomodation, crane power, county, region ,sidings to various works etc..just called "Handbook of Stations" you could probably find one in a site selling old railway books

The linked page below on the ORR website is a useful starting point as it shows the full useage statistics for every station in the UK up to 2008. It doesn't however have addresses, lines or facilities but would be a good starting point as it is in excel format and hence you can manipulate it

http://www.rail-reg.gov.uk/server/show/nav.1529

There are also other types of statistics on that site which may assist as well. Incidentally the main National rail enquiries website does have the facilities and address details on it for each station, in the 'stations & destinations' section, but you have to look at each record individually and with 2500 stations that could take you some time.

garrat you do realise that a giant amount of the stations around in 1956 have been closed?
If you put these stations in someone will be waiting a very long yime for their train!
Oh and what about stations on preserved lines?
Would you include those also?
