According to the Platform 5 publishing book "Preserved Locomotives of British Railways" which also lists D.M.U.s & E.M.U.s, two coaches survive, both end vehicles from unit 4002. S 13003 S is at hope farm, Sellinge, Kent. S13004 S is at the Northamptonshire Ironstone Railway, Hunsbury Hill, Northampton.
The other six coaches were scrapped at various locations, if I remember correctly all of unit 4002 was bought for preservation but there were problems with finding accomodation etc for it, and two coaches have fallen by the wayside sorta thing. Regards,62440.
