Roof for Ruddington or stratford?
I have just been reading through the latest copy of Steam Railway, which I loved so much I nearly ate it .
It was mentioned that Now the beautiful overall iron and glass at London Bridge station (which is grade 1 listed) will be re-erected at either Stratford upon Avon (as a terminus for the Shakespeare express so to increase running dates) or at Ruddington at the GCR(N) for a well derserved grand Terminus to possibly one of the greatest heritage projects of all time. I personally want it to go to Ruddington as it is appropriate for a main line steam railway and this may be a unique opportunity. Thats me anyway, but where would you prefer it?

Considering the other markets for the train (home of the Bard of course) it would be economically viable as well.
I do hope that the GCR gets an overall roof at some stage though. It is a shame that at Liecester North a water pipe prevented one from being built there. By the looks of things we are torn as to where it will go. I hope, I really do that a big public vote is not used. It is that sort of thing that split up the cambrian society and trust and the company building the two new standards. (6mt and 3mt) I don't want the heritage indusrty to be divided and it has nearly happened on many occasions.

Out of interest the canopy is down at Stratford at the moment (I work near there), so maybe that is where it is going...
