Coal and containers

I'm looking to spend a couple of days photographing freight. I'm planning a day around Knottingley for the coal trains to and from Eggborough and Drax power stations. I'm also planning a day at Felixstowe to try and catch a class 70 on a container train. Both of these will be on weekdays.

Can anyone give me any advice on how frequently trains run at these locations on weekdays.

Thanks a lot

Richard

I was really looking for information about the number of freight trains at these locations. Thanks for taking the time to respond though Mark, I appreciate it.

Your best bet would to go to Milford Jct. the coal traffic is quite quiet at the moment, but you'll also see trains that are going via the S&K towards Moorthorpe and light engines going between MR and York.
You'll see a couple of things in an hour, you might even see a 70 on Driver training.

Thanks

Thanks for the info Class9. Milford Junction was one of the places I'd planned to look at along with Gascoine Wood mine. Been having a look out for likely spots on Google street view. I appreciate the traffic info, can't get that from Google

Cheers

Richard
