Free Vintage Bus Service
We will be providing a free bus service from Aylesbury railway station direct to Railex and return every forty minutes during both Saturday and Sunday. The service will start half an hour before Railex opens and the last bus will depart Stoke Mandeville Stadium a few minutes after the show closes each day.
The bus service will be run by a vintage routemaster bus.

Parking at William Harding School

Free parking for Railex visitors is available at Stoke Mandeville Stadium in marked bays, in previous years we have also used the William Harding School for additional car parking spaces. This year due to unannounced building work at this location we are unable to use the school for extra parking as we have done in the past,

We hope to secure additional free parking in Stoke Mandeville Hospital staff areas in the hospital grounds adjacent to the stadium car park and some extra grassed areas at the stadium itself.

We would like recommend that visitors may like to use the town centre car parks and use the free and excellently restored Routemaster bus from the railway station to Railex that runs up to every forty minutes.
Car parks in Aylesbury are free on Sunday and we recommend the long stay Friarscroft (588 places) car park close to the station which is £3 for all day on Saturday and free on Sunday detail on all town centre car parks can be found here http://eplanning.ayl...s/aylesbury.htm .

The roads around the school and stadium car parks are residential and although have no parking restrictions should you park there we would like to keep our neighbours happy so please abide with all road parking regulations, park safely and keep all access areas and driveways clear. There is likely to be more space on the school side of the railway line.

Stoke Mandeville Hospital car parks that are located close to Railex are chargeable but at the weekends generally tend to be quiet. Charges are: 2 - 4 hours: £3.00 and 4 - 8 hours: £4.00. see their website for full details. Access from the hospital is next to the Cancer Care Unit, just follow the road from the pay & display carparks.

This is the bus and train times for Saturday 29th we still await the revised times from Chiltern Railways for Sunday as soon as we get them I will post them here.

There is no break at lunchtime on the vintage bus service this year, if it gets very busy we will add extra runs during the day.

The No.50 service bus to Halton runs every half hour on the same route and departs from the bus station rather than the railway station.

David

If you have not been before the photo gives an idea of the size of the show, it was taken at last years show by Anthony Mead.
