Hello from Stafford
Hello I have become interested in the railway following searches made
for my ancestors most of whom worked in this area My great great grandad worked for GNR as a station master and it appears this was a well respected job, I saw the book by Hardy, My ancestor was a railway worker and that lead me here, I am hoping I might learn something about my relatives some worked at Kings Cross and some in Brighton. Would this book help me with my search, thank you. |

Hello ludorabbit and welcome to the Railway Forum. A station Master in your grandfather's day would have been a highly respected job. My grandfather on my mothers side was also a station master in Cape Town.
