Multi Coloured Power Cars
I have been out with the dogs near the ECML close to Durham Station today 26th August and observed at a distance what looked like a HST travelling south at 1715 hours today. All I am used to seeing here are 43s in grey and white livery, but this outfit had a red/white power car and a blue/yellow power car, the leading power car looked to have a red nameplate. As I say this sighting was from a distance, can anyone enlighten me as to what I have seen.

No, he's not seeing things! It's a Midland set on hire to East Coast and is in EMT livery apart from one power car which is in the older MML livery.

Thanks Eccles71B. I was beginning to think that Tony must have been right. I never venture far from Durham due to my job and so have not seen power cars in colour before. I must venture further afield as it is a refreshing change to see something new.
