Batch Building Coaches

For interest I have posted up two photos on the gallery of four Comet kits of LMS coaches,

I posted one up a while ago. It took ages to build and I wanted a complete rake for Woodford I decided to have a go at batch building.

It is an assembly line and a little tedius but is has saved hours

Now on to the painting

Hi,

Nice looking coaches. I tried to batch build some GWR small cattle wagons but got half way through and stalled to a halt. Glad you were able to go the full distance.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes Alex it can get very tedious. But I really wanted this LMS rake for my GC layout so I thought stick it out!!

Hi Ian. I have three more Comet sides and some bits yet to do. Comet are really good as you can buy all kit bits for coaches as seperate items.

Have some locos to build for the next project.

Hi All have just mamnaged to upload one photo of a 1st class porthole brake, tried to load others, same size but they were rejected as too big will try again later.

Finally got some of these done after many probelms with painting, have learnt a lot in the process!!

Managed to get the other one loaded.

In the end I used Railmatch spray maroon from a can, sprayed the chassis and hand painted the rest.

Used Fox transfers throughout and sprayed with Ronseal Hardglaze
