Electrics on the Lickey Incline?

As far as I understand it,the electrification is dependant upon local funding being available to rebuild the station. NR have agreed the electrification,as long as the present station is re-sited. The local M.P. has been crowing about getting funding for the scheme,but hasn't let on that it's a 2 part deal.
The DfT were also caught out by the announcement - took them several days to put out a statement. Apparently N.R. didn't inform them of the ongoing plans !!

It's a wonder anything gets done with this sort of nonsense going on !!
