hornby DCC help required!!!
hi all
i have just got a new hornby 4 function DCC decoder and i have used it in my class 56 EWS (56059) i have tried it and works okay can i still run my DCC loco on a non-DCC track? all help will be apreciated

they do say you can and i have used some of my DCC fitted locos on an ac (normal) layout when testing new fittings to a loco with no harm, its only the outher way round you cant

Most decoders allow dc operation, Hornby decoders normally do. As Farren says, dc locos on dcc track is a serious no-no.
