Hello from Tren Del Fin Del Mundo
Hi everyone!!
My name is Laura, I am the secretary of the founder of the, Tren Del Fin Del Mundo. We are actually looking to see if anyone would have any help with drawings or plans on the CONSTRUCTION OF STEAM LOCOMOTIVE BOILERS. I've been looking around Google but still haven't found any diagrams or diagrams only explanations of how they work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thank you, Laura |

Hi Laura
Try contacting the National Railway Museum they may be able to help BUT try a company who makes boilers because they are covered by so much legislation regarding allowed pressures fuel types to produce the required pressure within the constrains of the boiler size Boiler construction is a very specialised job and not to be attempted by amateurs no offence intended but a boiler fault usually only ends up with one consequence a big explosion

I had a quick look around the Internet using my favourite search engine (not Google) and found several sites that offered drawings or plans – Wikipedia for a start. What exactly are you hoping to find?
I'd never heard of the Tren Del Fin Del Mundo – the Train at the End of the World – but looking at the website it sounds like a lovely set-up. I imagine it's the most southerly railway in the world? |
