hello joined for some help

Hi hello everyone. I've joined for some help I have a 3 year old son and he is train mad. We live very close to the old leicester line and I know its only freight that runs down there but I'm wondering if anyone on here knows what times trains run down and up the line. I would be forever in your debt

Thank you
Dan

Hi Dan and welcome to the forum. Don't know about the freight line near you but I do know there is a very good heritage line nearby that run every weekend and Tuesday Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout August. The Great Central Railway runs from Loughborough to Liecester and has steam and deisel operating.
There are many more across the midlands. Hope you enjoy the forum and have a good day out with your 3 year old! PS many operate a Thomas weekend too like the Midland Railway at Butterley.
Regards
Phil

Hello Dan and welcome to the Railway Forum. Living in Bristol, I'm not much help with your request, but having visited The Great Central, I can recommend it.
