intercity /regional railways 37 and 31's

Hi,

Can anybody tell me from which year these two classes first started to be painted in these two liveries?

Thanks

Pete

37401 "Mary Queen of Scots" had been repainted in Intercity livery by the time the 1989 Platform 5 Combined Volume was printed, and several more 37/4s had been repainted by the 1990 edition, by which time it was referred to as 'Mainline' livery; at the same time, 31423 was the first 31 in Mainline livery, 31464 had been done by the 1991 edition, by which time there were 16 37s so treated. By the 1993 edition, 31405/7/20/22/23/ were in Mainline livery, while 31410/21/39/56 were in Regional Railways colours. By then, 18 37s were in Mainline livery, but none in R/R livery.
I hope that's enough info for you - the rest of my books are too far down the pile!
