Train clearing snow in NZ
Worth a look, 2 min film. Sound on. There are times when the crew cant see anything out of the windows.

Buffer beam ploughs actually.
They would have been very near the limit for coping with that snow. UK ploughs like those fitted to 37's are meant to be able to cope with about 2ft depth of lying snow beyond that independants should be used. |

Those two DXC class locos had no plough of any kind, just the headstocks.
