Red Wharf Bay and Benllech Station

My wife tells me of a childhood memory of travelling by steam train to Benllech on the Isle of Anglesey back in the 1940/50s. However, when I looked up its history, the station closed in 1930 for regular passenger use although the line stayed open until 1950 as a goods line. I can only think that she must have been on some sort of summer service, perhaps from the Manchester area. Can anyone tell us, please, if there would have been summer steam specials which she could have travelled on and which still used the line? I have searched the Internet but there is no reference to summer use after 1939. Thank you in advance.
