hello
hi folks, my name is dave pallett from portsmouth uk. I am a driver on the mid-hants railway and prefer southern engines but anything in steam counts.

A very warm welcome from me too Dave and hope you enjoy our company. I too love all things steam and here at the Great Central we had two southerners recently at the Autumn Steam Gala. Very nice too.
All the best Phil

Hello Dave and welcome to the Railway Forum. I'm also a steam man, but don't mind some of the early Tin Cans. Had a trip behind 34067 Tangmere this year. She unfortunately ran out of steam twice due to very poor coal supplied at Worcester.

Hi Dave and a very warm welcome to the Forum. We are a friendly bunch here and we hope you will join in all the chat and banter.
At the Bluebell Railway we are great fans of all things Southern, though currently there is a bit of a loco shortage due to some unforeseen failures and we have a 9F and a Black 5 on hire. However we are expecting to have our S15 back in service soon, to be followed by our Q and our Standard 5, Camelot. We also hope to see our U and our E4 back soon after firebox repairs. |
