Dutch woman's near miss with train

Security camera footage of a Dutch woman's narrow escape from a passing train has been released by a rail company, as part of a new safety campaign.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26351140

The footage, published online by ProRail, shows a woman ducking under a barrier, intending to cross, then ducking back, moments before a train speeds past.

Taking such a risk and for what? Getting home 10 seconds sooner. Crazy! Not to mention totally irresponsible.

You have to feel for the drivers. It must be a constant worry encountering things like that and suicides. Not something you could ever put out of your mind if there was an impact.

I just showed my wife this video, but wont write what she said. It was because I had the fear of killing somebody like this, that I opted to become a guard, rather than a driver, when I worked on the railway.
