Station Canopies.

Just for interest this. I lived near Colchester for 28 years until moving to current address 2010. There is the Colchester Main Station and just a mile or so round the corner from it St.Botolphs Station - this for some time now called Colchester Town. From there trains to Clacton Frinton and Walton could be had - the junction being at Thorpe Le Soken. Noticed on several of the Stations along the way (still much as they have been for years) that the canopies over the platforms are held up by large cast iron wall brackets with the GER motif formed in them.
Claction still had that lovely Signal Box, still some semaphore signals and the old circular white/red ground signals (Tommy Dodds) as we called them. A nice pleasant little line all the way along there.
