Arrow Hello

Hi, I am new. I'm a casual fan of trains, not big on technical stuff, but I think they're cool and I love movies, books, and especially games which feature them.

Hello IRHP07 and welcome to the Railway Forum. Even as a casual fan of trains, you are still a railway fan.

Hello IRHP87,
Have you played the Railroad Tycoon games? I have always liked RT2 because you have more control over the game. In RT3 the computer drives the game with only minimum input from the gamer.

Thanks again. And yeah everyone seems warm here.

Never tried the Tycoon series. Only games I play with trains are ones where they're a location, like Paper Mario, Final Fantasy 6, and so on. They're always my favorite, hotels being second for cool locations.

Hi IRHP87,
I think that Railroad Tycoon II came out in 1996 so it is difficult to find here in Europe but I think it is still available on Amazon. Give it a try, you will soon be hooked. It is as much a business game as it is railway and gives a very good insight how businesses grow and what is needed to reach your goals.
Regards, Tony
