Whitby "old" style
Great to see the 2nd platform is now up and running with the run round loop inside the stations. Saves a lot of time.
Here's a "retro" video from last September of the old arrangement of propelling back into Bog Hall Sidings to run round, then propel back into station for departure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIqysAMfwnA |

I'm replying to my own posts here, which is a bit sad on all counts...
Anyway, finally made it over to Whitby today. Simply glorious, the sun shone and the fish and chips were superb from the Quayside Here's my video from this afternoon. It's the 1344 arrival into Whitby then departs at 1400. Really nice engine 75029...very nippy when it ran down the loop. Bog Hall sidings have a sleeper over the 1st track..which is meant to mean OOU? I thought they were planning to keep the sidings open for excursions? Anyway, smell the sea air, fish and chips, seagulls, and the smell of steam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM-i...ature=youtu.be |

Bog Hall sidings OOU for the moment until a Derailer can be supplied and fitted.
Order placed a long long time ago but no sign yet. I was in Whitby yesterday as well but I prefer the dearer Fish Restaurant opposite the station. Trenchers. Quality is fantastic in there. |
