Angry The Great Briton.

Having heard many rumours regarding "The Great Briton", i am totally confused, some people tell me that steam haulage was cancelled after Bristol, although two black five's were dispatched for the Bristol - Shrewsbury leg. others say that there was a locomotive failure, and that service trains were used in Scotland instead of the TGB. coaching stock, is this all true? or is it a case of Chinese whispers! - - - .

The black fives were cancelled and never left Bury.
Check UK Steam movements re TGB. The tour was a disaster.
Some days it continued on scheduled services!
Wonder where they put the headboard?
