Gretings all,

As suggested in the introduction a small note introducing myself.

I found the site through your sister site ShipNostalgia.

I am a retired ship's captain with an interest in all things mechanical, particularly where steam is concerned, although my old BSA Motorbikes are more conventionally powered.

I live up in the North East of England and am of an age when I remember such locos as Sir Nigel Gresley and her sisters hauling the London train.
