Just watched that on the BBC news. Also watched a video of a stretch limo being hit by a goods train after it was grounded over the crossing. The limo driver asked the train driver "Didn't you see me?" to which the train driver said "I sure did but I've got 10 thousand tones behind me. All the people had already got out of the limo.
