Hello Everyone
Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself as a new member. I am very enthusiastic about old diesel locomotives especially Class 33 Cromptons but my enthusiasm is not matched by my knowledge which is quite limited. I first became hooked on Cromptons after hearing the amazing sound one of them made in 1987 pushing a train out of Fleet station on route to Waterloo. Looking forward to being a member of this forum. Best wishes, Paul.

Welcome to the forum, Paul! Hope you enjoy being a member. I'm more of a steam man myself, but as diesels go the Cromptons have always been my favourite type – no doubt because they are pure Southern, like me!

Welcome to the forum Paul from a fellow diesel fan.
Deltics are my fix, but agree that the Crompton Sulzers have a good voice. |

Welcome to the forum.. I've got a small paperback book called 'Book of the 33's. There's no technical info but there are photos of every one built.
