Cast roof trusses
Hello, I bought these off e-bay as they looked too good to leave in the nettles , I only have the four so can't really build a shed but will find a use.
Does anyone recognise where they may be from? I'm afraid, other than the fact I got them off a farm south of Redditch, I know nothing about them. There were four more which now form a bridge somewhere near there. In section approx. 18"x7" and around 9'long. Any clues much appreciated, Richard. |

As castings go they are things of beauty for sure.
Looking at the floral fretwork, I would guess that they were originally support arches for a large green house or floral hall. Perhaps the gardening forums may be able to help. |

Master Cutler- thanks for the reply, yes you're probably right, I've looked all over and thought railway station men might be better at noticing roof arches than say gardeners, i'll keep asking, someone must have a picture stashed away. Going by the angle of purlins likely around 60' span.
