Hello...and query!
Hello from Norwich...
I've actually got a question about a lamp outside my house. It was put there by my late stepfather, who was a big railway fan, so I *think* it's an old railway lamp post, but would like to know a) if it is and b) if anyone knows from what period and where it would have been sited (ie. on a station platform?). Thanks! |

Hello Matt1969. I too can't say anything definite about the lamp though it does look like it lamps found on platforms. As you live in Norwich, and presumably it would be a local lamp, you could try the North Norfolk railway or Mid Norfolk Railway to see if they have some knowledge. Richard

Sadly, all too often a new "member" will join our Forum to ask a question then never log in again. I don't know if we'll ever hear from the OP again but his last "activity" on the Forum was at 15.34 on 14 February, the date of joining so presumably he hasn't seen any of the replies posted.

Unfortunately this does happen Ian, we welcome them and try to answer their query and they do not return to see any help they may have received.
