Hello all,
Does anybody know where I could find a timetable for future locomotive visits at the Bluebell Railway? Thanks, 73201 FB |

Hi,
The Bluebell's website and facebook page are the best places for news of visiting locomotives at the Bluebell. http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/bluebellrailway/ Current plans for visiting steam locomotives are: Ex-Port Talbot Railway 0-6-0ST No.813 from the Severn Valley Railway is due to visit for the Branch Line Gala over the weekend of 18-20 May. New-build A1 class 4-6-2 No.60163 'Tornado' (courtesy A1 Steam Locomotive Trust) from 25-29 May. There will almost certainly be at least one visitor planned for the Autumn Steam Gala over the weekend of 12-14 October - to be announced nearer the time. There is a planned main line railtour to depart the Bluebell Railway running from Sheffield Park to Oxford and Worcester on October 27 - provisionally booked for haulage by ex-LNER B1 No.61306 'Mayflower' (and an 8am departure from Sheffield Park!) If you are interested in diesels as well (does your user name possibly relate to class 73 'Broadlands'?) then there is a Diesel Gala in about 3 weeks time, featuring visiting class 31 No.31271, class 45 No.45041 & class 46 No.D182. In addition, keep an eye on the forum as I try to publicise interesting galas & visiting locos at the Bluebell, Kent & East Sussex & Spa Valley Railways. Hope this helps. Visitors just announced for the 'Giants of Steam' Autumn gala October 12-14:
Ex-LNER A4 class No.60009 'Union of South Africa' & ex-LNER B1 class No.61306 'Mayflower', both of these locos are first time visitors to the Bluebell. Tony |
