Lets give him a chance.
Teenagers need encouraging to get away from their computer games.
Hopefully there are other teenage railfans out there with whom Vlad can communicate.
I can remember when anything railway was the SECOND most popular hobby on the planet.
Second only to stamp collecting.

I have to agree with Steve on this.

When I read Ianrails's post yesterday, I was saddened that anyone on this "friendly" forum would say such things.

I see you are in the Isle of Wight; no doubt you know all about the IoW Steam Railway. If you love steam trains you will make many new friends if you become a member and tell them you'd like to get involved.
The other railway on the Island, the electrified line to Shanklin, is also fascinating in its own way.
