HST power car preserved.

Class 43 HST power car No.43018 has been donated to Crewe Heritage Centre for preservation by leasing company Angel Trains. I believe it is the second class 43 to be preserved, after No.43002 'Sir Kenneth Grange', which is now part of the National Collection. There is also at least one HST set in the Locomotive Services Limited railtour fleet.

There's been talk for a while about having freight multiple units.

I'd love to see an intermodal box train 'topped & tailed' with 43s.

The HST power car is an empty shell – no power plant or controls. Basically just the bodywork.
