Escape to the Country in North Yorkshire

G'day,
I was watching that Pommy tv series last nite dubbed Escape to the Country.
The episode was from 2018 or 2019, I don't remember.
But, the mystery house was a converted school building at Grosmont near to the railway station.
Being utilized as the coffee gift shop for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway hysterical mob.
The couple were very interested in the property / business.
And, I am wondering if they actually went ahead with the purchase.
It is a wonder that the hysterical mob didn't attempt to acquire it.
But, then I guess, even with hysterical mobs, capitalism is the go nowdays.
Have some private mob provide the catering etc.
Had the couple managed to acquire the property, I also wonder how they are now surviving the plague restrictions.
Steve.

Hi Steve, it looks like it's still active on Trip Advisor which gives it a score of 4.5 out of 5.
Reviewed 2 November 2020, but I can't see if the people you saw on Escape to the Country are the current owners.
It looks good though and worth a visit when we are free of this global pox.

G'day Master,
I think that there were other interested buyers for the property.
The tv show host telling the couple to get a move on if they really wanted it.
Our hospitality industry down-under is really struggling under the plague and consequent restrictions.
Coffee shops and bistros going belly up all over the place.
I guess that if the hysterical railway is locked down, that would drastically impact on that Grosmont shop.
Fingers crossed that the vaccine proves a success.
Steve.
