£401m rail funding boost announced for train services in north England
As per the title.
What is encouraging is that they mention electrification. Linky.....https://www.itv.com/news/2021-05-26/...-north-england I don't count my chickens, but at least OHLE is being talked about. Cheers, John |

"The DfT said the “bulk” of new funding for the Transpennine Route Upgrade would be used to “improve connectivity” between Leeds, Manchester and York, and deliver electrification and upgrades between York and Church Fenton in North Yorkshire."
I think that "electrification" And "upgrades between York and Church Fenton" are two separate subjects. Anyway, it's all good news. And also the proposed upgrades from Huddersfield to Ravensthorpe. (to 4 track layout and upgraded stations).
