I don't remember them ! Seems the first run with D200 was 18th March 1958.

I can remember the Brush type 2 (class 31) and EE type 3 ( class 37).

They used to haul the St Mungo express out of London didn't they because in our area they were called st Mungo's for a while before Whistlers

New health and safety regulation is the way forward here - Dont allow standing on trains ! All passengers must be seated - the outcry over this would be the immediate building of lots more stock. If you buy a ticket - you expect a seat and be safely transported.

I thought the "St.Mungo" ran between Glasgow and Aberdeen.

If memory serves me right, (and it may not!) the first ten of the class were shared between the G.N line and the G.E. line.

The first one (D200) was allocated to Stratford for use on the London (Liverpool St) to Norwich run.
