Cheers!
Thank you all for your responses. I became a train spotter in 1976 but my love of steam railways continues today along with vintage locomotives.
When I was about 4, my Grandfather took me to see all the steam locomotives on March shed awaiting to go to the breakers torch. Really regret that I never saw them in steam on the March shed and in the marshalling yard from Norwood Side Bridge and Twenty Foot Crossing. I have, however, seen steam in later years on the old Loco Shed being prepared/cold on steam charters. Do not know yet how often I will be able to visit this site, or exactly how it works at the moment ( ), but will try to keep in touch as often as possible. My Grandfather, who was a driver, one of his last steam duties was to bring Oliver Cromwell (Britannia class) 7F from Doncaster to March. Craig |

Popped on today because it's my birthday... can't believe how busy this has been since my last visit.
Am building my own house with my wife so don't get much time on board, but once the build is complete, will become a "proper" member!!! |

Hello 31B and welcome to a great forum.
Are you a member of the local Wisbech & March Bramley Line yet? If no, then why not, because they hope to have the occassional steam loco as a Guest when they restore that link. PM me for details, or simply go to www.bramleyline.org.uk and take a look, because the TCT/Bramley Boys are working in your area on a Sunday at present and they would welcome you, that's for sure.
