Thanks for that John I prefer to go by train but I think I'll drive this time, there might be delays.

Evening all!
A bit of a late one, but if anyone still needs convincing, tomorrow evening will see both A4s double headed on a train (load 10), leaving BBS at 18.30 and covering the full line. As far as we can tell, A4s have never been double headed before, not in preservation nor in active service.
Not one to miss!
Enjoy everyone, I know I and all of us at the ELR will!

Orwell Vale is a great location, but you know what Peter the ELR has so many really good places to shoot from you will be hard pressed to choose!! Unfortunately i will be missing this event as I will be away, so I look forward to seeing your pics to see what i missed!
Cheers all the best and enjoy your weekend.
Phil

Yes it did, it was load 11 in the end and was very well filled. It was all round an excellent event that was very busy.

I agree with everyone it was a very good event, I'd really liked to have stayed for the double headed A4s but I had a 100+mile journey home, I still got some decent photos though. Next year I'll most likely stay for the weekend.

It would have been nice to have had the A4 double header early in the day. As it happened . late running meant it was in darkness when it did.
Still one of the best line ups the ELR have done... and none of Ian Rileys Black 5 s which where up in Scotland as well!

I do love visiting the ELR and have done for a couple of years now. Its got to rank as one of the top five to visit. I missed this last one but Ill be back in January for the winter gala for sure. Ive seen a lot of members pictures of this last event and they are really good, it goes to show what I missed!!
I have yet to see the Crab, and that is a must in January too I hope.
All the very best gents
Regards
Phil

I might go again in January myself Phil, that is if we're not snowed in.
