Fortunately the tram works & the road works on the A453 are separate & diversions (longish ones) are possible.
I shall certainly visit Nottingham during the six weeks to see how the work on the station is progressing.(been using the station since 1960)

The main difference this time is that the bridge will be built over the station
When the GCR built the bridge over the Midland Railway the station was much smaller & the "NEW 1904" station was built under the bridge.
The Midland only enlarged their Nottingham station in response to the GCRs Victoria.

Hmm typical Press an oil train and it has Carriages

well why not it's been good getting class 60's through just as it is getting GBRf on the engineers trains much to EWS's anger they still are trying to run some of them even now
