John142. Are you aware that 35028 CLAN LINE is out of service as a result of a dropped fusible plug last Friday? That's another one down, the Merchant Adventurer tour is cancelled as a result. I'm getting fed up with being the bearer of bad tidings on here, I'm thinking of changing my name to Albert Ross!
Anyway here's a link to the 35028 website http://www.clan-line.org.uk/html/press_release.html I can only hope that no serious damage has resulted and 35028 will quickly be back where she belongs. Regards, 62440. Last edited by 62440; 24th May 2010 at 20:21. Reason: Adding link |

Now, I have read this thread with interest, and it seems that the reason for failure of both those engines is not small things which can be put right quickly......but pretty serious problems....Ollie with we beleive firebox problems and the other one has dropped a plug.
So is that a coincidence or just a "fluke", I hope it is not the start of a "run" of serious failures. 48111 |

Did I read elsewhere that Lord Nelson had problems?
Anyway as I'm sure most of you know 6201 Princess Elizabeth is now down as heading this tour, but the real star will of course be pannier 9600 Wednesday night and still no times on UKsteam.info, nail biting stuff. |
